Privacy Policy for "Simple QR Kit"

This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app "Simple QR Kit" (the "App") handles user information.

1. Information We Collect

All data you create in the App — scan history and saved QR codes (including any Wi-Fi credentials or contact details you choose to encode) — is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate a server, and we do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data.

2. Camera Access

The App uses your device's camera solely to detect and decode QR codes on screen in real time. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.

3. Contacts

When importing a contact to generate a business-card QR code, or when adding a scanned contact to your address book, the App uses Apple's built-in contact picker and contact-card system screens. The App itself never requests or stores full access to your Contacts.

4. Advertising

The App uses Google's advertising service ("AdMob") to display banner and occasional interstitial ads. AdMob may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and similar technologies to serve ads. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Advertising Policy.

If you decline the "Allow Tracking" prompt shown by iOS, the App remains fully usable — you will simply see non-personalized ads.

Ads are never shown while the camera scanner is active.

5. Photos

If you choose to save a generated QR code image, the App writes that single image to your Photos library. The App only requests add-only access and does not read your existing photo library.

6. Disclaimer

The App does not verify the safety or legitimacy of the destinations of scanned links, Wi-Fi networks, or contact information. The in-app "suspicious link" warning is a best-effort heuristic, not a guarantee. Always use your own judgment before opening a link, connecting to a network, or saving a contact from a QR code you did not create yourself.
